Achilles Tendon Pain — Location
At the back of your ankle you have the Achilles tendon. While running you may feel some pressure on the Achilles tendon and if you put too much pressure on it then there are very high chances of you suffering from Achilles tendon pain. To avoid this runners have to make sure that they wear the right running shoes and also concentrate on their running so that they end up landing properly on their feet when they are running.
The pain will start slowly and don’t be much in the beginning but gradually the pain will increase and so will the severity of the problem. So the moment you start feel Achilles tendon pain you need to make sure that you get this problem checked and treated so that you can start running again. If you continue running and putting pressure on the tendon before it is healed then it will lead to excruciating pain and a lot of swelling.
The swelling may not be noticeable at first, only if you compare it with the other tendon will you be able to notice the swelling. But gradually the swelling and the redness sin the area will be noticeable. So till the problem is entirely treated and till your tendon is entirely heel you should put less pressure on it. Once it is entirely healed make sure that you do whatever you can to keep yourself suffering form the same problem again.
